This Mother’s Day, we are honoured to celebrate a woman who embodies everything we adore — strength, grace, French flair and a heart full of generosity. Meet Eva Bonnet, the effervescent creative behind @bonjour.mate, and our 2025 Mother’s Day muse and brand ambassador.
With her undeniable charisma, Eva has captivated a loyal community of over half a million followers on Instagram and TikTok. Her witty videos and whimsical musings bring the charm of French culture to life, reminding us that style and humour go hand in hand — preferably with a café crème.
“What inspires me about French culture is our love of food and the way we organize our lives around it. Everyone gathers for lunch or dinner and sits around a table together. Also, the knowledge of where our food comes from, the specific regions, which all have a history to it. The savoir faire – the artisanal, and the preservation and appreciation of the heritage of these places. You could be eating a delicious strawberry, and a French person will say, “Yes of course it’s delicious, it’s a Gariguette!”
“What inspires my content in making it funny is that French people are very direct. Our honesty can make us sound out of line, but that is not what is meant. Also, the funny facial expressions the French can pull. It is always about laughing with them, not making fun of them.”
But behind her magnetic persona and playful humour lies a powerful story of resilience and love.

After moving to Melbourne for love and building a life in Australia, Eva faced one of her toughest battles — a cancer diagnosis during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The day I was told I had cancer it was like I disassociated from my body. In that same week they announced the first Melbourne lockdown. It felt like the whole world was shutting down and changing and so was my world, it was very scary. Looking back now the pandemic was beneficial, my husband worked from home, and his parents helped to look after me. I also had no FOMO because no one was doing anything or seeing anyone! The price at the end of it, though from being so secluded was that facing the world afterwards was very hard.”
On her road to recovery, she embraced motherhood and today is a proud mother of two young boys, raising them with the same joie de vivre and deep love of French culture that has defined her journey.
“For me being a mother is a miracle.”
As our Mother's Day ambassador, Eva reminds us that motherhood is not just about nurturing others, but also about rediscovering oneself. It’s about passing down rituals, recipes, and yes — impeccable style — from one generation to the next.
To celebrate, Eva has styled some of her favourite pieces from our Mother’s Day Collection, including our exclusive Nathalie Lété sleepwear, luxurious Australian wool knitwear, and our most giftable homewares and accessories.
“I love the Nathalie Lété Velour Robe, and the Nathalie Lété Jumper in the Butterfly print was also a favorite of mine.“
Whether you’re gifting your own maman, or embracing a moment of self-love, let Eva inspire you to find beauty in the everyday — and dress like it’s the most romantic day of your life.
